Met tussenposes van soms een paar jaar, heb ik mijn geliefde stiefvader gefilmd tussen 1982 en 2001.
Na de dood van mijn 2 vaders, Dirk Rodenburg (1935-2018) en Victor Linford (1940 - 2002) heb ik besloten
weer wat meer van hen beiden te publiceren. In werkelijkheid verdroegen zij elkaar maar slecht,
dus geef ik ieder een eigen podium.

De dood is de ontstoffelijking van het wezen. De geest blijft. Dat bezweer ik in mijn schilderijen.
Ik wil dat zo puur mogelijk houden, die band tussen mens en kosmos. Daarom wil ik geen bestaande
symbolen schilderen. Daar zou ik me voor mijn gevoel achter verbergen. Een eigen wereld moet ik
schilderen, geen gewone aarde, geen paradijs, maar iets ertussenin. Mijn schilderijen zijn
voor mij - en daar geloof ik vurig in - tegelijkertijd mijn leven en mijn dood. -

Victor Linford was not only a great painter of a fantastic world, but also a great human being,
widely beloved in his lifetime and deeply mourned after his sudden death. In March 2004, friends and relatives
have set up a strictly non-profit Foundation to register, preserve, and exhibit his huge artistic inheritance.
The first public event was a large retrospective display of Linford's work in the spring of 2005. Consecutive
shows were combined with the work of young artists in the same culture field, who were selected and supported

I've been filming my beloved stepfather, in some cases with an entire filmcrew, between 1982 and 2001.
This video is part of the DVD that I assembled in 2005.
Two out of four films on this webpage come from the DVD.
